Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival Cairo

Welcome to Egypt!!! Arrive at Cairo airport, Your Allover Egypt representative will pick you up from the airport and then will drive you safely to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2:
Giza Pyramids & The Egyptian Museum

Breakfast, and start your full-day tour with The Giza pyramids complex, also called the Giza necropolis, The Giza Pyramids, built to endure an eternity, have done just that. The monumental tombs are relics of Egypt’s Old Kingdom era and were constructed some 4,500 years ago. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx of Giza & Khafre’s Valley Temple.
Then we will move to visit the Egyptian Museum. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo (EMC) is the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East, housing over 170,000 artifacts. It has the largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities in the world.
Then move back to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3:
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization & Royal Mummies Hall

Breakfast. Start your full-day tour with The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, The NMEC is the first of its kind in Egypt and the Arab world. It presents the full range of the richness and diversity of Egyptian civilization throughout the ages, from prehistoric times to the present day. Considered the crown jewel of the museum, the Royal Mummies’ Hall is specially designed to display the mummies of the ancient Kings and Queens of Egypt. The design aims to give the visitor the feeling of strolling down the Valley of The Kings, where most of these mummies were originally resting. The hall includes 20 Royal mummies,18 Kings, and 2 Queens, from the 17th until the 20th dynasty. The most famous mummies are Hatshepsut (Maatkare), Thutmose Ill (Menkheperre), Seqenenre Taa 11.
Transfer back to your hotel, Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4:
Day Trip to Alexandria

Breakfast. Allover Egypt tours guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, and start getting your kicks heading to beautiful Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria or Bibliotheca Alexandrina; one of the most extensive libraries in the world – The library has shelf space for eight million books. Visit the open court where the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found in the Mediterranean Sea in Alexandria.
Then, you will visit St. Mark’s oldest church the oldest church in Egypt and all over Africa, after that enjoy a walking tour in the old town of Alexandria where you will feel the local life and the non-touristic sites. Visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria with the display of the sunken monuments of Alexandria which were discovered under the East harbor of Alexandria.
After that, move to visit Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mursi Alexandria’s largest mosque; with a cream-colored facade, four great domes, arabesque designs, and a high minaret. Built in 1775 to commemorate the life of an Andalusian Sheikh who was buried on the site, it is one of the most visited mosques on the White Med coast.
Continue to see the outside of Qaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop, then, drive you back to your hotel in Alexandria.

Day 5:
Alexandria (Free Day)

Breakfast. Free day – optional activities:

You will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 6:
Old Islamic Cairo

Breakfast. Start your full-day tour with The mosque of Muhammed Ali: also known as the Alabaster Mosque for the material which covers it, this enormous 19th-century place of worship was inspired by Istanbul’s New Mosque.
The move to visit The Citadel: originally constructed in the 12th century to protect the city from attacking Crusaders, the hilltop Saladin Citadel offers some of the most spectacular views over the surrounding city.
After that, you will visit Sultan Hassan & El-Refaie Mosques. There are two mosques in the same district, which are located in the Castle Square area in El Khalifa district in Cairo, whereby the older mosque is called the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan (as it hosts a school and a mosque), which is considered as Egypt’s fourth pyramid, and Al-Rifai Mosque.
You will also visit the Mosque of Ibn Tulun: the oldest and largest mosque in Cairo, the Mosque of Ibn Tulun is famed for its beautiful architecture
Later on, visit the old market and Bazaar of Cairo called Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Prepare to be amazed by the local, handmade items. After enjoying your time wandering through the market, your full-day tour will end with a drop-off back at your hotel.

Day 7:
Old Coptic Cairo

Breakfast. Your Allover Egypt tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo. Start getting your kicks to Coptic Cairo. Start your tour with The Hanging Church. It got the name ‘Hanging Church’ (or ‘Suspended Church’ in Arabic, ‘El Moallaqa’) because of its location above the fortress gatehouse. When it was first built, the pillars of the gatehouse would have been easily seen, creating the ‘hanging’ effect of the church, but now are buried due to the rise of the ground over the past 1300 years.
Then move to visit St Virgin Mary church, St Virgin Mary church is the oldest church in Egypt. It was built to honor the mother of Jesus.
The Church of St. George is a Greek Orthodox church within the Babylon Fortress in Coptic Cairo. It is part of the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of St George under the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and all of Africa. The church dates back to the 10th century.
Later on, visit Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (Abu Serga). The Abu Serga church is believed to be not only the oldest church in Egypt, but built on the spot where the Holy Family (Joseph, Mary, and infant Jesus Christ) stopped and rested towards the end of their journey to Egypt.
The last stop will be the Coptic Museum, The Coptic Museum houses the largest collection of Coptic artifacts in the world and was inaugurated in 1910. Then drive back to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 8:
Departure

It’s time to close the curtain on your epic adventure across Egypt. You’ll say a fond farewell to new friends as you prepare for your return journey home. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and will transfer you to Cairo international airport to take your flight back home.
