Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival Cairo

Arrive at Cairo airport, Your Allover Egypt representative will pick you up from the airport and then will drive you safely to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2:
Giza Pyramids & The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

Your Allover Egypt tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo. Start your full-day tour with The Giza pyramids complex, also called the Giza necropolis, The Giza Pyramids, built to endure an eternity, have done just that. The monumental tombs are relics of Egypt’s Old Kingdom era and were constructed some 4,500 years ago.
Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx of Giza It features a lion’s body and a human head adorned with a royal headdress. The statue was carved from a single piece of limestone, and pigment residue suggests that the entire Great Sphinx was painted.
The tour also includes a visit to Khafre’s Valley Temple, The Valley Temple of Khafre at Giza was built with huge limestone stones, and its walls were covered with blocks of polished red-pink granite.
The second part of your tour will be The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, The NMEC is the first of its kind in Egypt and the Arab world. It presents the full range of the richness and diversity of Egyptian civilization throughout the ages, from prehistoric times to the present day by focusing on its continuity and stability as demonstrated by its tangible and intangible heritage. The museum’s exceptional collection includes the royal mummies, which are exhibited in a new interactive display using 21st century cutting-edge technology to go beneath the wrappings and reveal their secrets, in addition to shedding light on the rituals and religious beliefs surrounding mummification in ancient Egypt.
Considered the crown jewel of the museum, the Royal Mummies’ Hall is specially designed to display the mummies of the ancient Kings and Queens of Egypt. The design aims to give the visitor the feeling of strolling down the Valley of The Kings, where most of these mummies were originally resting. The hall includes 20 Royal mummies,18 Kings, and 2 Queens, from the 17th until the 20th dynasty. The most famous mummies are Hatshepsut (Maatkare), Thutmose Ill (Menkheperre), Seqenenre Taa 11.
You will see one of the most important and largest antiquities museums in the world, and it is the first museum to be dedicated to the entirety of Egyptian civilization where more than 50,000 artifacts will relate the stages of the development of civilization from the earliest times to the modern era. Then drive back to your hotel.

Day 3:
Day Trip to Alexandria

Breakfast. Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to start your tour to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit its open court and free museums.

Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday. To enter the reading area, you will need to purchase an extra ticket.

Then visit the Site of the Lighthouse; one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on which now stands the castle of Qaitbey. Visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as the royal beaches of the queens. Continue your tour by visiting the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, as well as the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and the statue of Alexander the Great.

You can then stop for optional lunch before visiting the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa before driving along the Cornish (30 km) to see the whole city of Alexandria from the seaside which includes the old harbor of Alexandria where we found 7000 monuments underwater. Stop over the famous bridge of Stanley – the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, before visiting the old downtown of Alexandria and walking through the old city-center of Alexandria: built by Alexander the great. Travel in comfort back to your hotel.

Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4:
Cairo / fly to Aswan

Breakfast, then you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Awan.
Our Allover Egypt tour guide will meet you up at Aswan international airport/hotel, Head out to visit the High Dam and the Philae temple. Transfer to the cruise. Lunch on board.
Overnight aboard the cruise.

Day 5:
Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples - Sail to Luxor

Breakfast on board. Sail to Kom Ombo. Afternoon Tea. Visit the temple of Kom Ombo shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Back to the cruise to have your lunch Then, Sail to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Continue sailing to Luxor. Dinner on board. Overnight aboard the cruise.

Day 6:
Luxor West Bank

Breakfast on board. Today’s route is west, start your tour visiting the Fascinating valley of the kings that includes more than 63 majestic tombs and chambers of some well-known Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs, Then, head out to The amazing Temple of Queen Hatshepsut widely considered one of the “incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt” located beneath the cliffs at Deir el Bahari. The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, back to the Nile cruise to have your lunch
Afternoon free at leisure. Afternoon Tea. Overnight aboard the cruise.

Day 7:
Luxor East bank - Disembarkation.

Disembarkation.
Start your tour by visiting the Luxor temple which was built by one of the kings of the 12th dynasty and completed by the well know king Ramses II. This temple was located in the heart of ancient Thebes and, like Karnak, was dedicated to the main/chief god Amun Re. Later on, head out to Karnak Temples Complex, This temple was built by various Pharaohs during different ages. You will see the Avenue of Sphinxes of the Hypostyle Hall, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tuthmosis the temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarabeus of Amenophis III ,and the scared lake. Get transferred to Luxor airport/hotel.

Day 8:
Departure

Breakfast at the hotel our representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you at the airport through final departure formalities.
